The typical January relaunch of the television season takes on new significance this year, for two reasons: first, the fall season was an utter disaster; and second, several shows are returning after a longer than usual time away. The best piece of advice my husband and I received before the birth of our first child was fairly simple: Trust your instincts. This advice was given in the context of when to pick up a crying baby, but we have found it just as effective and useful in many other aspects of parenting as well. FRIDAY: The Unsellables Premiere -- Follow the trials and travails of homeowners trying to sell and unload their "real estate challenged" properties in this new HGTV series.(10 PM on BravoHGTV)
SATURDAY: Moulin Rouge -- Tn 1890s France a courtesan (Nicole Kidman) falls in love with a young writer (Ewan McGregor) but strings along a duke who can finance improvements to the night spot.(8 PM on E!)

OK, I admit it: I'm excited to see this movie. Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson star in this comedy as best friends feuding over a shared wedding date. My money's on Hathaway. Opens in theaters on January 9.
